Services
We have one UKAS accredited method for the analysis of Legionella which is the traditional ten day culture test. We also have a rapid detection method called FASTek which is currently not accredited
This test is a general indication on the overall quality of the water and does not indicate if a sample will be harmful to drink or not.
Coliforms are a group of bacteria that are widespread in the environment. They are found in the soil, in water, on plants and associated with animals.
This is a term commonly used when sample testing is required to show that a water supply is wholesome i.e. microbiologically safe to drink.
Many species of Pseudomonads occur naturally in ground and surface waters. Some of these may survive the treatment process or may be subsequently introduced into treated water as a result of contamination.
The term enterococci include a number of species of bacteria found in the human and animal intestine and therefore may be used as supplementary evidence of faecal pollution of water
We are able to offer a full range of chemical analysis with testing suites designed to meet your specific requirements.
This suite of analysis is designed to meet the requirements of the BSRIA guidelines, but we are happy to design client specific suite if required.
In addition to our routine analysis, we offer a range of other services at the request of our clients
We pride ourselves on the technical experience and competence of our staff who have many years’ experience in water science and analysis.
It is our standard practice to notify clients of any unsatisfactory results by email ahead of the final report being issued; this allows you to take remedial action in a timely manner.
This is a mandatory action which all accredited laboratories have been required to implement by UKAS.
